This class (ASN 114-1400) meets on Tuesdays from 2:00-4:45 p.m. in M1113.
In this class, we will learn about the history of Asian migration to the U.S., the social construction and experience of race in the U.S., and the intersection of multi-ethnic Asian American identity with class, gender, sexuality, and ability, immigration status and other social positions. This course will use historical writings, films, music, art, fictional pieces, and other multi-media work to critically engage narratives of Asian American communities.
