Extra Credit Options

There are many great events happening at BMCC in the next few weeks! You can attend any of these events + write a 1-2 page reflection essay that connects the event to class to get extra credit.

Wednesday, March 22, 2-4pm: IMMIGRATION KNOW YOUR RIGHTS WORKSHOP, flyer available here: IMMIGRATION WORKSHOP flyer

Friday, March 24th, 2-4:30pm: screening of Moonlight, Academy Award winner for Best Picture, about a young black man’s identity and relationships. The flyer is here: Moonlight flyer

Friday, March 24th, 6-8pm: screening of Hidden Figures— we have talked about this film in the 12:30 section, as it is based on the true story of two African American women working at NASA.  The flyer is here: BMCC Hidden Figures flyer

[off-campus] Sunday, March 26th, all day: Through art and activism, exploring labor, gender, violence and migration, Naree Shonghothok will bring you a day of film, conversations with Bangladeshi activists, artists, performances, and art gallery.
